Speak Up Survey

Bottom Tear

Thank you for participating in this short, voluntary survey exploring the intersection of faith and disability.

Statistics reveal a gap between the desire for inclusion and the lived experience of many. For example:

  • 32.3% of special needs families have left a church due to lack of welcome or inclusion.
  • 46.6% of special needs parents avoid religious activities for the same reason.
  • 45% of adults with disabilities attend church monthly, compared to 57% of adults without disabilities.
  • People with disabilities are 28% more likely to say that religion is not important in their lives.
  • People with hearing, physical, and emotional disabilities are more likely to pray several times a day than the general public.

Despite these challenges, faith remains a vital source of strength for many. Your participation in this survey will help identify barriers, highlight best practices, and foster greater understanding. Your voice will contribute to building more welcoming and supportive faith communities for everyone.
