Why I Speak
Growing up, whenever I faced misunderstanding or mistreatment due to my disability, my parents offered two pieces of wisdom: 'Consider the source,' and 'Use this as an opportunity to educate.'
While I understand the weariness many in the disability community feel about constantly educating others, I've always viewed it as a privilege. It's my chance to bridge the gap, to make disability issues approachable and non-threatening for those outside our community. I've had the honor of sharing my experiences through various presentations, and I'm eager to continue this work.
